Detailing FAQs
Q. Why do I need a detail?
A. Detailing restores a like-new appearance to a vehicle. A clean and protected vehicle facilitates maintenance, increases resale value, and brings a satisfactory feeling!

Q. What is paint protection?
A. Paint protection products are designed to provide hydrophobic and UV resistant properties, providing a sacrificial layer of protection against the sun's UV rays and the earth's elements. CWX uses professional-grade coatings, paint sealants, and waxes to protect and preserve your vehicle, locking in a vibrant shine!

Q. What is paint correction?
A. Paint correction is a process that utilizes polishes and compounds- liquid abrasives- to level and refine a vehicles' finish. A compound is a type of abrasive designed to eliminate paint defects by shaving down clear coat/paint. Polishes refine paint finishes after compounding, providing high gloss and shine!

Q. How do I maintain my vehicle after it has been detailed?
A. With proper technique and care, you can maintain your vehicle at home! Washing the exterior once a week will expand the life of any applied paint protection. With a quick vacuum and wipe-down, your interior will be dust and dirt free!

Q. What's the difference between a Wax, Sealant, & Coating?
A. A wax is a natural product with limited durability, usually lasting multiple weeks. A Sealant is a synthetic wax; a man-made protectant designed to last longer and provide better protection than a natural wax. Sealants can last for multiple months. A Coating is the ultimate protectant for your vehicle! A coating, like a sealant, is a man-made protectant that coats your paint in a ceramic based protectant, offering chemical and dirt resistance and easy maintenance. A coating can last for years when maintained properly! A coating can increase the value of your vehicle by preserving the paint for years to come!

Q. What is Opti-Coat and what can it do for my vehicle?
A. Opti-Coat Ceramic Polymers are a system of ceramic coatings designed for every surface on your vehicle! A coating can be applied to paint, glass, wheels, tires, trim, leather, and fabrics to ensure these surfaces remain stain free, glossy, and protected against UV radiation for many years to come.

Q. Does CWX report to CarFax?
A. Yes! All CWX services, including the application of ceramic coatings, are reported to CarFax to build on the history of your vehicle. Vehicles with rich detailing history retain greater value than counterparts.
